Conference Venue
Experience AITC 2024 at the legendary Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). More than just a stadium, the MCG is a gathering place where history and greatness converge. As one of Melbourne's most renowned landmarks, the MCG and the surrounding Yarra Park hold a significant place in Victoria's Aboriginal heritage.
The MCG served as both a willam (camp) and a corroboree ground, and evidence of this rich history is still visible today in the form of scarred trees. While the first game of modern Australian Rules football was played here in 1858, Aboriginal men and women had been playing Marngrook, a form of football, long before European settlement.
Join us at the MCG for AITC 2024 and be part of this historic and vibrant celebration.
